Abstract

It is imperative to reaffirm scientific integrity as a non-negotiable principle. Science cannot be shaped to serve economic, political, or ideological interests; otherwise, it will lose its primary function: the production of rigorous, verifiable knowledge oriented towards the common good. Striving for scientific integrity means ensuring transparency at every stage of the research process, from funding and study design to analysis and the communication of results. It also involves strengthening independent peer-review mechanisms, declaring and managing conflicts of interest unambiguously, and promoting an academic culture grounded in accountability and critical thinking. At a time when new tools, such as artificial intelligence, enhance both the creation and distortion of knowledge, the defense of scientific integrity is not only desirable — it is essential. Only in this way will it be possible to preserve trust in science and ensure that it continues to serve society with rigor, ethics, and responsibility. This editorial intends to reflect RevSALUS's position regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence in scientific writing.
